Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.01%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which rose 3.35% or 1,120.00 points to trade at 34,600.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) added 3.32% or 400.00 points to end at 12,440.00 and Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) was up 2.96% or 2,300.00 points to 80,000.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG), which fell 1.91% or 360.00 points to trade at 18,500.00 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 1.79% or 170.00 points to end at 9,330.00 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) was down 1.35% or 130.00 points to 9,470.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) fell to all time lows; falling 1.79% or 170.00 to 9,330.00.

US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.72% or 4.35 to $248.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 4.60% or 318.00 to hit $7,235.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 31.40 to trade at $2,787.30 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.02% to 4,396.14, while BRL/COP rose 0.05% to 762.74.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.13.
