Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES), which rose 8.22% or 23.16 points to trade at 305.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO) added 2.28% or 0.25 points to end at 11.21 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC) was up 1.66% or 2.79 points to 170.46 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB), which fell 4.23% or 7.10 points to trade at 160.78 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) declined 4.06% or 0.36 points to end at 8.50 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:GFNORTEO) was down 2.35% or 3.38 points to 140.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 144 to 82 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.25% or 6.55 to $2,566.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.45% or 1.68 to hit $67.02 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.00% or 1.45 to trade at $71.11 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.16% to 20.37, while EUR/MXN fell 0.15% to 21.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 106.67.
